The League #3

This weeks League challenge is:

The 80′s and 90′s were filled with kids and teens in the movies. Which movie would you like to see a sequel made in 2012 with the original cast members, who have aged the same as you and me.

This one is pretty hard. The first movies that come to mind are “The Goonies” (of course) but I’m not sure I would want to see a sequel though and “Monster Squad” but again I’m not sure I want to see a sequel to that movie either. Those movies are so much fun in part because of the kids in the movie. A sequel with adults just wouldn’t be that much fun I think.

“E.T.” would be a fun sequel, I read the E.T. sequel book, pretty weird, yet fun story.

But I think for this challenge I am going to go with:

”Labyrinth” I really enjoyed this movie as a kid but it had a sadness hanging over the entire story. Maybe it was just me and that time of my life where I was “Growing Up” and trying to come terms with it . But I think a sequel could be really, really awesome. It would be fun to see more of the actual labyrinth and more creatures. Sir Didymus is one of my favorite characters. Suprisingly I have yet to do any fan art for this movie. I should rectify that…

 My runner-up would be:

“The Never Ending Story” I think it’d be neat to see  Bastian as an adult going back to the world of Fantasia and rediscover his inner child or some such stuff. But with today’s special effects they could knock this one out of the park.

Check out all the great responses to this weeks challenge here!

It’s crazy too, because David Bowie wouldn’t look all that different. Good choice!
