Several months ago my brother was in a chocolate shop in Houston, TX and bought me this awesome piece of chocolate:

Cy-kill from The GoBots! How cool is that?! Never would have expected a GoBots piece of candy to show up at my house in 2013!

I got to thinking, this piece of chocolate reminded me of some GoBots plaster pieces I had made way back when I was a kid. There was a craft kit that came with these GoBot molds, you mixed up the plaster, poured it in the mold and after they dried you then painted them. It even had glow in the dark paint.
So I did some digging in the closet and found them! They’re real fragile and I’m surprised they have held up so well after all this time.  I’ve been dragging these things around with me for the past 28 years or so and for the first time  ever I will show them to the world:

They look like the chocolate piece, right? I wonder if someone at the chocolate store found one of these old molds or something; the piece of chocolate was even the same size as the plaster pieces! Wow, pretty crazy!!

First off, wow, those old plaster pieces are so cool Chris! I’ll bet you’re right about that shop using those old molds, which is pretty darn cool too!

I’m so glad I’ve kept those things all these years. I haven’t seen anything like them since. I need to find out which shop my brother got those at and pay them a visit and see how they made the GoBots piece and also what else they may have in the store!

I think they had Turbo or Crasher, too.

I remember those plaster kits – I think you had another one prior to the Gobots, but only the Gobots had the Glow-in-the-Dark paint. That made it mind blowing and revolutionary.
