This neighborhood layout is roughly just like my own neighborhood when I was a kid, give or take a few houses. The colors may not match up but it’s close enough. We used to ride our bikes up and down the street and explore the woods all the time. I went back to visit two years ago and sad to say most of the woods are gone, replaced by more houses.

Thank you! We had a lot of fun on the few streets we used to roam around on. It was pretty neat back then because we would just cut through people’s yards to get to the other streets and such, I guess kids don’t much do that these days.
Yeah, I get the feeling that people are more guarded about their property in this era and that sense of an “open” neighborhood is sort of a thing of the past. Yikes, now I sound like my parents! “Back in my day…”
I agree, plus it seems there are a lot more fenced in yards than there used to be.
